Roommates

Well, its that time of the year. The time where you live with complete strangers in hope that they wont hate you by the end of the semester.  When stalking said strangers, isn't at all that bad.  The nerve wracking tortures of meeting then for the first time and hoping they don't have a hunch back or buck teeth. Yes, oh the glories of moving out and becoming your own individual. Overall, it's way overrated.

Have you ever seen some one trying to move into an apartment?  It's terrifying! Calling your best friend to come help. She's 2 minutes late and you want to pace a hole in the floor!!! You call her several more times, only to discover she is at your front door, ready to help. What a trooper.

Then the packing begins. You try to find the largest box, only to be out done by previously mentioned best friend.

Finally, you finish packing. There are boxes everywhere. When you go to move them, they are stuck to the floor. CRAP! You realize that you have over packed, and it takes three people to move it to the truck. Imagine taking it up the apartment stairs. Oh gosh. I'm so doomed. I wish I had a ripped friend to help me move my boxes.

That being said.
I have a new roommate.
Holy crap. I'm freaking out. (in the most possible awesomest way ever)

This is a duck.
Duck.

But thats another story.

Distracted Driving

As none of you know, i have some mad ADD.  I get excited over the smallest things. What? A dog needs shots?? WOOPIEEE!! I LOVE giving shots!! It's always so exciting, getting excited over small things. Anyways, there is only one minor detail with this Disorder. I can't pay attention for the life of me. Even driving is dangerous. In my house the kids can only drive 1 car, and that is the gold Ford Areostar. A piece of crap van that is on it's last legs.... errr... wheels.
See? A golden turd on wheels.

Anywho,I had an appointment this morning at 8:30 so I had to drop off everyone at work/school and then take off to go get lost trying to find where the doctor's office was. Well, being in a hurry, and stressed with moving (I'm moving into an apartment with my best friend and 2 strangers), talking to the doctor about tumors, and getting there on time, I drop off my mom and my brother at the high school, and I am en route to the middle school, when I see a friend from church on the side of the road. I get super excited and wave and yell a hello to him, when I totally forgot to brake at the stop sign and some one was already waiting there.

So BAM! into the truck in front of me I go. We pull over to the side, I make all the children walk the rest of the way, and I get out to talk to the old-ish man. we inspect damages, and not a scratch is on his car, meanwhile, my rolling turd van is leaking radiator fluid left and right. The old man decides not to switch information with me, which is truly a blessing, and he and I go our separate ways.

I go to school to tell my mom, and she's somehow compassionate about the whole thing. Well, I take it to the shop, and the gosh dang hood wont even open, and I walk to work, and cancel my doctor's appointment.

The shop calls, its $300 to replace the radiator, so mom is looking at registering my brother's "Plig Rig."
It is the big blue thing.

I hate Mondays.

Welcome!
